This was my first time to Harissa and I have to say; I thoroughly enjoyed myself. From the food to the dancer and hookah it was an excellent evening. The DJ was amazing, he played great music and there was so much joy and culture in the room I could not get enough. The Walid Platter is a great way to get a taste of everything and their kebabs are to die for. The lamb is so tender and perfect!
Service was nice but agonizingly slow. I'm not sure if that is always the case but it was really frustrating. That is the only reason for the 4 stars.

The place is dead for a reason.
Two stars for half decent waitstaff but really poor quality food, and I mean really poor. If I were to describe the food of my guests and I, we would choose bland, microwaved, soggy.
Absolutely no reason to go here -

There is really no reason to come here unless there is dancing.
The food and drink is WAY overpriced and a poor value. But when there's dancing, $14 tiny glasses of arak (basically like watered-down absinthe without the benefits, or cloudy, mild ouzo on the rocks) suddenly seem just the thing, and a $19 appetizer and kabob selections (that are mostly rice and that don't seem to satisfy anyone) seem ok.
The dancers enchant, the live music mesmerizes, and only later when you are $200 poorer do you realize you've been had. It's a little like being kidnapped by gypsies, I imagine. And sometimes, that's ok.
Plan for your abduction carefully. But don't bother with this place, otherwise. -

The food is bland and lacking in quality, and the staff isn't much better. I've been here several time's, and I honestly hoped the experiences or the food would improve, but no. Not worth your time.
Update: look at the owners comment, it proves my point about the staff. Rude, unprofessional, and definitely not suited for customer service. For the record, I give reviews that match the quality of service for any place I star, THAT IS WHAT YELP IS FOR! But by all means, play the victim even though you have numerous negative reviews sighting the SAME ISSUES!
To the owner: You got a bad review because you deserved it. Don't try to act high and mighty because other people also provide terrible service. Your service is some of the worst I've experienced, but I kept my original review accurate but polite (not that you deserved it), and instead of addressing YOUR issues, you deny them. Un shocking, really, given the response my guest and I got at the restaurant. Your food is poor quality, under seasoned, and not worth anyone's time or money. -

Just don't. If you've seen kitchen nightmares with gordon ramsay, then you've already eaten here. The food was very bad and likely tainted. Both the chicken and the kofta tasted sour and the accompanying sides were cafeteria horror. Very bad service and outrageous prices.
